Komp's track on Merck's Squadron comp was one of the better tracks on that release so i
was eager to hear his new album. Onn Vena, Komp doesnt disappoint doing a excellent job at combining enviting
melodies with hiphop perucssions and ghosted garbeled vocals/samples. Highlights include the slow plodding
distorto-vocal hiphop track 'whest side,"'lif's' pleasent melodic glitch-squelch track, the bleepy melodies of '171 21
collins ave,' and the poppy melodies and bouncy bassline of 'her dear love.' Vena is a very komp-etent release from
this newcomer and one to surely bring his name to the forefront of the newschool-idm crowd. Fans of the whole
Merck, Lexaunculpt, Pitchcadet, Schematic sound will dig this one.
